Jake's 5th Birthday

July 17th was Jake's 5th Birthday! I can't believe he is 5 already! It just seems like yesterday we were all at the hospital waiting for him to be born! Gosh, How time flies! We weren't able to be there to celebrate with him so I sent off a big package of gifts for the "Birthday Boy!" (and a couple things for Jayden too!) I just love to spoil these 2 little guys! We hope Jake had a Super-Duper Birthday and all his Birthday wishes come true!
{Happy Birthday Buddy! We love you SO much! Can't wait to see you & Jayden next month!

Rodeo in the Ranch

This Saturday we went to the Highlands Ranch Rodeo. We met our neighbors, the Meroni's, there. As we were sitting in the bleachers we were just melting! So Chad went over to the VIP tent section and somehow got us in! So, we watched the rest of the rodeo in style! (Well... sort of.... in the dirt, with long weeds, flies biting... but at least we weren't sweltering!) It was such a fun day though! We really enjoyed all the rodeo festivities! It is so amazing the beating that these cowboys endure while on the horses and the bulls! And then there was the Mutton Busting and the Chicken and Rabbit Scramble (Oh those poor chickens and rabbits! With all those kids scrambling to catch one!) So, all in all, it was a super fun day!

Cooper's Level 1 Graduation

This past Sunday was Cooper's graduation from level 1 training. I must say we were a little nervous! But he made us so proud! He passed with flying colors! He has been such a great puppy! He is so smart which makes the whole training process so much easier! He is just so willing to please and will do anything for a treat!  So I think I am going to continue on to level 2 with him. I wasn't sure if I was going to, but after he did so well with his final exam I thought it would be good to further his education! So the next class starts the beginning of August! In that class he will test at the end for the Canine Good Citizen certificate. I would love to have him be a therapy dog some day! I think that would be so fun and rewarding! Mr. Coop is just the sweetest dog ever!!! (Well.... Besides Molls!!!)

Kenny Chesney @ Red Rocks

July 7th we went to the Kenny Chesney concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. We were both so looking forward to this concert. The forecast was not looking so good though! Everyday they were calling for thunderstorms, so we were just keeping our fingers crossed that it would clear up and we would have a nice night. It is a beautiful venue for a concert so we were so hoping for beautiful weather! But unfortunately it rained the entire time. Thank goodness I bought us ponchos! Morgan was so funny before the concert because he thought it was ridiculous that I bought us ponchos, but once everyone started putting them on he asked for his! And it wasn't just a light mist it was an actual rain the entire time! But it was a great concert! It opened with Uncle Kracker & Billy Currington which was great! And then Kenny Chesney was of course fabulous! Despite the rain it was such a fun night! Morgan was such a good sport! I thought for sure he was gonna eventually be over the rain and want to leave early, but he stuck it out and we stayed till the very end!!!

{Thanks Love Bug for being such a great sport! Love You!}

Caden James Conners

On July 5th our very good friends Kym and Andrew welcomed their baby boy, Caden James, into the world! We are so excited for them! It is definitely times like this I so wish we lived in CA! I just missed him by a week. I am so bummed I don't get to see him for another 5 weeks! But as long as Kym keeps sending me pictures I will get my Baby Caden fix! (Well, sort of!) He is just absolutely adorable! Just a precious little peanut!!! I can't wait to see and meet him in person!

4th of July Block Party

I have to start off by saying that we are SOOOO lucky to live in such a fun neighborhood with such wonderful people! With the help of some of the girls in the neighborhood we put together a fun block party! We pulled out our BBQ and patio table and chairs and it all ended up in our driveway! It was such a fun day hanging out with everyone and meeting new neighbors that we hadn't met yet. Everyone brought their own meet to grill and a side dish to share. It all turned out great! A bunch of houses on the street were putting off their own fireworks in the street so we walked down to see the shows. Next year we will definitely have to add some of our own fireworks to our party! Around 9 o'clock we walked to the end of our street to see the big Highlands Ranch fireworks. They were a little disappointing but I think it had to do with where we were sitting. They seemed to be really low, so we didn't have a perfect view of them. Oh well, next year we will find a different viewing spot! All in all, it was a wonderful day and we can't wait to do it again! Maybe for Labor Day!

Hop, Skip, & Go Naked

I think it was a hit!!!

Mom & Dad O Visit

Mom & Dad O came to visit a couple weeks ago. It was so nice to have them here! They came to visit and to also go to a cousins wedding. It was Dad O's first time visiting us since we have been in our new house. While they were here we drove through their old neighborhood that they lived in years ago when they lived here in Colorado. Their house was beautiful! We also went downtown and walked around a bit. It's fun to go downtown once in a while, although it is definitely not Morgans favorite thing to do! He hates all the traffic and the parking! He would much rather stay in our "little bubble" of Highlands Ranch! To keep him happy though we stopped off at The Rio, a mexican restaurant, for a yummy margarita! We also took a drive out to Arrowhead golf course because it is such a sight to be seen! We bring all our guests out there because it is just so beautiful! It is only about 15 minutes away and you seriously feel like your in another world! The views are amazing and the deer roam around like there pets! Every time we have gone we have seen at least 10 deer. And they just roam around the community, through peoples yards, in the kids playground... It is just the neatest thing! When we went this time though we only saw 2 and I think it was because it was so hot! One of the ones we saw was laying under a deck in the shade. It was a huge one with enormous antlers! So anyone who comes to visit us just know that this will be one of the sights to see! Their last night here we went to Steubens with the Hess' for dinner. It was a Sunday night with a 45 minute wait. But I must say it is SO worth the wait! It is definitely one of our most favorite restaurants here in CO! It was such a yummy dinner! So that was our weekend with the O'Malley's! It was such a fun weekend and we look forward to the next time they come visit!
