Mom, Grandmom, & Auntie Kim Visit

I was so happy to have my Mom, Grandmom, and Auntie Kim here for Mother's Day! We had such a wonderful weekend! Unfortunately though, Auntie Kim was sick the first 2 days. So that was a real bummer! So while she was resting I took my Mom and Grandmom to a beautiful nursery with amazing flowers which got us in the mood for some planting. They love to garden so they were excited to help me plant and add to our front and backyard. The weather was beautiful too so it made for a really nice day outside! For our house warming gift they bought us lilacs, peonies, a hydrangea, dahlia bulbs, and an aspen tree. We can't wait to watch them grow and add lots of charm to our garden! (I hope to have a green thumb!)

By Sunday Auntie Kim was feeling better so we brought Molls and Coop to Chatfield Reservoir. It was a beautiful day so it made for a very nice walk and a chance to soak in a little vitamin D. Since it was the weekend there were a ton of dogs there. It was so fun to see them all interacting and having a ball in the water! Molly and Cooper were in heaven! Cooper was finally getting more comfortable with the water and by the end he was swimming with Molly to fetch sticks and balls. It was so cute!

After the Reservoir we came back to our house and made a really nice filet mignon and mahi mahi dinner with artichokes, brussel sprout hash, and salad. It was so delicious! So, all in all, it was a fabulous day and I was so happy to be with my Mom, Grandmom, & Aunt! {Love you 3 so much!}

Mom and Auntie Kim also helped me finish painting the basement. It was quit a job and Grandmom did a great job supervising! It turned out so good and Morgan just loves it! So now his basement office is finally coming together!

Before
After

Monday we spent the day in Boulder. We had a yummy lunch a West End Tavern and then we made our way through all the cute little shops on Pearl Street. It was such a nice day! We always have the best time together! On our way home we stopped at Sheplers Western store. Auntie Kim was wanting to purchase a souvenir while she was visiting in Colorado. So, she bought a pair of adorable cowboy boots!  This is 2 for 2 now with bringing guests there and finding boots. They have the best selection! Auntie Kim and Nicole are both so lucky to have adorable new boots! I can't wait to buy my next pair there!

Tuesday I brought them to the adorable little town of Morrison and then to see the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater. We went through a couple little antique stores in Morrison. One of the little shops was quit interesting because the little old lady that owned it also lived in the store. It was interesting to see her little living spaces throughout the store. It kinda reminded me of the show Hoarding: Buried Alive. We then made our way up to the amphitheater. It is a truly incredible venue! (Can't wait to see Kenny Chesney there in July!)

It was such a wonderful 5 days with them here! I really cherish the time we get to spend together! No matter what we do, we always have fun and enjoy being together!

{Love you girls lots & lots! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!}

Mom O & Katie Visit

Mom O and Katie came to visit April 28th. We were so happy to finally have them come see our new house. And April 28th happens to also be Mom O's Birthday! So it was so fun to be able to celebrate her Birthday with her! On Thursday we brought the dogs to Chatfield Reservoir. It was a beautiful day! It was Coops first time there and he just loved it! Although he was not too sure of the water at first! Molls just went right in! She is such a water dog!

That night we took Mom O and Katie to Fujiyama with the Hess'. It was a fun sushi dinner for her Birthday! After dinner we all came back to our house for dessert. I made a Blue Bell Pralines n Cream ice cream cake and it was delicious!

"Happy Birthday Mom O!"

Friday we searched high and low for the perfect patio furniture. And after all the looking we ended up back at Target getting the first set that we saw and liked. We should of known our favorite set would be at our favorite store... Target! After getting it all home we had to put it all together which was quit the project! But we did it and it looks fabulous on our deck! {Thanks again! We love it!}

Saturday we went to Boulder to have lunch at the famous West End Tavern. We had a yummy lunch that of course included some famous hot wings!

{Mom O & Katie, We were so happy to have you come visit! It was such a wonderful weekend! Can't wait for you to come back in June!}
